You will often be the first point of contact for applicants, responding to admissions-related enquiries and providing high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner. Contact with applicants and prospective applicants could be via email, phone or web chat.

Applicants look to the University of Surrey as a world-leading educational establishment, and you will deal with applications from around the globe. In addition to these duties, you will have the opportunity to participate in University Applicant Days, Open Days and other external recruitment events as required.

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office. Experience of working with University student record systems, and in the field of Higher Education is desirable but not essential. We encourage applications from candidates outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and responsible person, with the ability to work both as an effective team member and independently.

The Admissions office is currently working in a hybrid pattern with two days in the office and three days working from home. There may be times where you are required to be in the office for more than two days per week, particularly during the busy results period in August.

In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive 32 days annual leave/closure days and a great benefits package including pension and discounted membership to our world-renowned Surrey Sports Park.
