The Role:
The Housing Options Service is looking to recruit a Rent Income Collection Team Principal who would be responsible for coordinating and supervising the Rent Income Collection Officer Team.
Requirements:
Having the right calibre of people with the right attitude is essential in providing households in temporary accommodation with the services they require.
- Sound knowledge of the Housing Benefits system and good knowledge of wider welfare benefits available
- Experience of income collection and arrears management
- Experience of supervising staff undertaking housing management duties
- Experience of working in a demanding environment with the general public
- Experience working in a similar role would be an advantage
- Enthusiasm and strong motivation with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to immediately deliver, working to tight timescales
- Ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and to develop appropriate promotional material.
- Advanced IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio or other project tools.
