Position Overview & Specifications

Help us make a big green dent in the universe. We're on a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution, and we need loads more people to help us make our vision a reality.
This is a remote role, but you will be required to be flexible to travel 3 days a week, sometimes globally.

We believe energy should be better - for you and the environment. We’re spearheading the transition to greener, cheaper energy through the installation of in-home technologies; from smart meters and electric car chargers; to low carbon heating, home batteries, solar, and beyond. Utilising Octopus’ awesome tech power, we deliver smart energy solutions for our customers. As the face of the company, our diverse, industry-leading field force delivers the same outrageous experience Octopus customers love and expect.
We are on the lookout for a remarkable graduate in the early stages of their career with the drive, resilience and flexibility to help customers all over the world decarbonise their homes. You will support the global supply chain development for low carbon innovative tech.

What you'll do

  • This role will have exposure across all areas of supply chain. Every day will bring a new challenge. One day you might be helping on the shop floor to support our manufacturing sites to scale up, the next day you might be supporting c-suite level supplier negotiations in the boardroom procuring the latest tech for our customers.

  • There'll be lots of on the job learning and opportunity to find solutions to really tricky challenges. Whilst a large part of the role will be working independently, you’ll also have an awesome team around you to help you grow and be the best you can be.

What you'll need

  • Entrepreneurial drive. You will have a growth and customer first mindset, whilst being comfortable working at speed in a start-up culture.
  • Resilience. We love to take the non-conformist routes, push boundaries and break market norms. By doing so, we’ll prob take some knocks on the way, but end up building some ground breaking stuff.
  • Good at managing you’re priorities, we’re only human, but generally you can juggle a lot of balls and focus on what’s important
  • Be flexible to take on new and varied challenges every day. We’re at the forefront of innovation to help bring customers low cost, popular, green products and solutions.
  • Be able to frequently travel across the UK and globally when required

  • Equity Options Scheme - you own your own part of the business, share options in the whole Octopus Energy Group so we all work together towards success
  • Office culture - have a certain tech requirement? We’ll do our best to get it. Our offices are also stocked with fruit, breakfast, great coffee and soft drinks. Weekly on a Friday we all get together (this happens virtually too) for company updates and drinks - we call it Family Dinner
  • Social Events - we sponsor YeoValley’s summer festival, valleyfest, every year for our big offsite Summer party (we take our kids too) and we also aim to have 3 parties a year
  • Parents - get access to tax free childcare and maternity and paternity pay.

  • SmartPension Scheme - employer 5% employee 3% and you can contribute more
  • Cycle to Work Scheme - to help lower your carbon footprint whilst good for your health
  • Salary sacrifice scheme - the ability to lease an electric vehicle through your salary within the business

If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you.
