Position Overview & Specifications
Monkhouse started in 1938 which means this year it will be Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists’ 84-year anniversary. We are one of the country’s largest multi-channel retailers of school uniform and we are a part of a market-leading, national Group with a combined turnover of over £50m and ambitious plans for continued growth.
We have 40% of our own brand items which is now eco-friendly and will grow over the coming years. Furthermore, our own brand factories are Sedex level 4 approved and at Monkhouse, service is everything and we are renowned for our ethically sourced, value-for-money product choice and quality
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Dedicated customer base ensuring any internal communication is routed through you.
- Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and e-mail meeting our KPI measures.
- Resolve escalated enquires to ensure a resolution can be achieved in an orderly timescale so our reputation and relationship is not damaged.
- Keeping customers informed of order delays and garment faults channelled through our Supply Chain team.
- Ensure customer data is accurate and up to date at all times
- Identify and continuously monitor dormant and ‘dead stocks’ and liaise with Area Sales Manager on how to handle this.
- Continuously build and maintain internal and external customer relationships
- Ensure customer samples and contracts are sent out correctly and internal procedures are followed on receipt of the signed contract.
- To create and maintain our customer specific product range information on the web page and IT platforms.
- Attend regular meetings with the Area Sales Manager to understand and deliver the needs of your customer account base.

We are located in Altrincham, with free parking and good public transport links.
Your working hours:
We work on a 40 hour a week contract, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with no weekend work.
August bank holiday is a compulsory working day for the Customer Service team.
