Position Overview & Specifications
We are seeking to recruit into the position of Administrator Helpline Operative, ahighly motivated and well-presented individual.
Applicants for this postwill beorganised, possess good written and spokencommunication skills,anddemonstrate the willingness to be trained.
This is a fixed 1 year position with the possibility to extend.
Help-line Activities
Provides information and support to people calling the national enquiry helpline.
Answers general telephone enquiries and performs visitor reception duties.
Liaises with colleagues and other health professionals in other Hubs, screening centres, GP practices by telephone and in person as required.
Carries out routine administration duties to maintain the efficient running of the Hub.
Laboratory Activities
Performs sample reception duties including receiving, sorting, organising and logging of samples and recording information on the Bowel Cancer Screening System (BCSS).
Performs basic laboratory equipment cleaning & maintenance.
Participates in other laboratory based activities including Quality Assurance systems.
Ensures that quality standards set out by the Programme are maintained and monitored.
Performs general house-keeping duties including safe disposal of waste, general cleaning and tidying and laundry management.
Prepares simple solutions, reagents and quality control materials.
Undertake any other duties, including the operation of the envelope folder inserter machine, photocopying and distribution of information as and when required.
