Based at our state-of-the-art head office and distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd. have been established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the north of England as supplier and distributor to over 600 SPAR stores.

About the Role The Security Team at James Hall & Co are the eyes and ears of our organisation and are integral to the safety of our employees on our 50 acre site and across the group of companies as a whole. As Security Officer, you will be responsible for important security check and protocols that will see you communicating with employees at all levels across the business.
What will I be doing? The security officer position is varied and extensive and will require a level of flexibility to the role. You will work in conjunction with the core Security Guard shift pattern to enhance and support a safe and secure environment. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to-
- Conducting vehicle and foot patrols around the site
- Assisting in the response to emergencies and alarms
- Provide support in controlling site access and egress
- Effectively complete daily activity reports and incident reporting
- Interface with employees and visitors ensuring they are adhering to company rules
- Perform CCTV monitoring
- Conduct security checks, protocols and reports for the monitoring of building and site security
- Provide support for lone worker telephone monitoring across the company stores
