Job Req ID: 15944 Posting Date: 10-May-2023 Function: Sales and Commercial Location: Deansgate, Manchester, United Kingdom Salary: Competitive plus great benefits Locations: Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Newcastle Why this job matters As a Senior Manager for Business Development you'll be responsible for creating a pipeline for growth in our major accounts, where we already have C-level engagement and significant existing contracts. You’ll be responsible for developing and managing the pipeline of projects in a 1-5 year timeframe, to increase BT’s wallet share within 4-6 of these major accounts. Typically, these opportunities will be complex in nature (solutions spanning multiple product towers) and significant in size (typically £5m+ SOV). You’ll have a strategic ‘up and out’ focus driving pipeline for the region. What you’ll be doing- Tenacious and passionate about innovation, leads a client from ideation through to realisation of business outcomes.
- Develops long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, extending up to at least C-level of large private sector organisations.
- Grows pipeline and identifies specific opportunities to be taken forward, prioritises sales opportunities based on a qualification and assessment of resources required, cost of capture and likelihood of success.
- Lines up marketing campaigns, looks at who do we target and influence.
- In addition to Business Development, helps inform BT’s future proposition and product development for the future based on emerging customer strategies and needs.
- Looks at segmentation of the regional market.
- Maintains strong links to Account Managers, benefitting from shared knowledge and aligned aim.
- Identifies and gains a deep understanding of likely procurement routes and the process around them, including budgeting, sign off process and key stakeholders.
